       Chairman Michael H. Snyder  

  Mr. Michael H. Snyder was elected to the Arenac County Board of Commissioners in 2008. Re-elected in 2010, he now serves as the Chairperson of the Commission. He represents District 3, which encompasses Whitney & Sims Townships and AuGres City.

            Commissioner Snyder represents the Health & Public Safety Committee and serves as the County Board liaison to the Central Michigan District Health, Standish Prison Liaison Committee, Medical Control/Ambulance Committee, E-911 Authority Board, Arenac County Housing Commission, Chippewa Indian Liaison and Region 3 Homeland Security.

After serving as an Officer in the United States Army Quartermaster Corps, his career was in Public Education as a Secondary Administrator. Now retired, he resides in the AuGres area. The Snyder family has been coming to their AuGres vacation home on Lake Huron since 1945. The Snyder’s moved to Arenac County as full time residents in 2004.

 

 

    Vice-Chairman Joseph B. Sancimino

Joseph B. Sancimino serves as the Vice-Chairperson of the Board. Mr. Sancimino represents District 5, which encompasses Lincoln Township, part of Deep River Township, and the City of Standish.

Commissioner Sancimino represents the County Affairs Committee and serves as the County Board liaison to the Region 7B, MAC, EMCOG, EDC, ACAS, Planning Commission, and the Heritage Route Authority.

Joseph Sancimino also works part-time as an Assistant Librarian at the Mary Johnston Memorial Library located in City of Standish. He is a resident of the City of Standish and also serves on many community organizations and interests. Mr. Sancimino understands living within a budget.

 

      Commissioner Robert Luce

Mr. Luce represents District 1, which encompasses Deep River Township, Adams Township and Moffatt Township.

Commissioner Luce represents the Building and Grounds Committee and serves as the County Board liaison to the Michigan Northern Counties, Central Michigan District Health, Parks Commission, Mid-State Substance Abuse, RC & D, and Natural River Zoning.

Robert Luce also owns and operates his own Construction Company in Arenac County. He is a resident of Deep River Township and also serves as the G.E.D. Instructor for County Inmates.

       Commissioner Virginia Zygiel

 
            Mrs. Zygiel represents District 2, which encompasses Clayton Township, AuGres Township, Mason Township and Turner Township.
 
            Commissioner Zygiel represents the Budget & Finance Committee and serves as the County Board liaison to the Sunrise Senior Services, NEMCSA, Iosco-Arenac District Library, Bay-Arenac Behavioral Mental Health and Arenac Multi-Purpose Collaborative Body.
 
            Virginia is a resident of Clayton Township.
 
 
 

      Commissioner Jeff Trombley

           Mr. Trombley represents District 4, which encompasses Standish Township, Arenac Township and Lincoln Township.

           Commissioner Trombley represents the Judicial/Legal Committee and serves as the County Board liaison to the Arenac Conservation District, Community Corrections Board, MSU Extension Advisory Council and FEMA.

Jeff Trombley also owns and operates his own Dairy Farm in Arenac County. He is a resident of Standish Township and also serves on the Standish Fire Department and Dive Team.
